Anti-static bags are only safe for components inside an ESD-protected area; static shielding bags are needed for transportation outside an ESD-safe area or for shipment. They are made from a material that will not charge up when rubbed against other materials. Anti-static bags can be heat-sealed, tied, stapled, or taped.
